Below you’ll find everything you need to know about daily schedules, check-in procedures, lesson flow, lunch, pick-up times, and helpful tips to ensure a smooth and successful experience for all Wild Mountain Youth Programs.

What to Bring, Arrival Tips + Equipment Notes (All Programs)
To help ensure your child has a comfortable, safe + fun day on the mountain, please plan accordingly.
Check-in: 8:30-9 AM at the Wild Mountain Children’s Ski School tent (first building when you drive up, across from D Lot)
Wild Mountain Learning Center offers reserved parking for parents and students at the top of D Lot until 9:30 AM. Learn more via our Getting Here page.
Please arrive early to allow enough time for parking, gear-up + check-in, especially during peak weekends and holidays. Late arrivals may miss valuable lesson time.
Children should arrive fully dressed + ready to ski or ride, including:
- Waterproof jacket and pants
- Warm base layers
- Gloves or mittens
- Helmet (required)
- Goggles or sunglasses
- Sunscreen & lip balm
If your child is bringing their own equipment, please ensure:
- Skis or snowboard are properly tuned
- Boots fit comfortably and securely
- Equipment is clearly labeled
Rental equipment is available on-site for those who need it. Please plan extra time if rentals are required. We strongly recommend labeling all personal items, as we are not responsible for lost or misplaced belongings.
Important Pick-Up Information (All Programs)
Full-day lesson participants are available for pick-up at 3:30 PM at the Wild Mountain Learning Area.
A 15-minute grace period is provided after the pickup time.
Late Fee Policy:
- $40 (15–30 minutes late)
- $50 for each additional 30-minute increment
Half-day lessons conclude at 12 PM, prior to lunch.
Participants will be available for pick-up at the Wild Mountain Learning Area.
Pioneer Program Lessons (Ages 5–6)
Full-Day Schedule
8:30–9 AM — Check-In

9:45 AM — Pioneer Rental Process
Boot fitting + introduction to ski equipment and terminology, including fun indoor & outdoor games.
10 AM–12 PM — Morning Session
Group instruction with experienced, kid-friendly coaches.
12–1 PM — Lunch + Rest
Hot lunch provided for full-day participants.
1–3 PM — Afternoon Session
On-snow practice, games + confidence-building fun.
3:30 PM — Pick-Up

Explorer Program Lessons (Ages 7–9)
