Programs Overview
Alpine Ski Racing
Alpine ski racing athletes learn racing fundamentals + expert ski techniques, building skills that translate directly to our Alpine Race Team and Freeride programs. We recommend at least one season of race training for aspiring park riders before joining the freeski program.
Minimum requirement: Can link parallel turns on any terrain (on- and off-piste) with a desire to train in a race environment.
Freeski
Our Freeride Ski Team focuses on skiercross, slopestyle, rail jam + halfpipe for advanced skiers ready to progress beyond the basics. Coaches are current athletes who bring up-and-coming tricks and fresh techniques while prioritizing park safety as riders build their skill set.
Minimum requirement: link parallel turns on any terrain (on- and off-piste) with a desire to train in a park and freestyle environment.
All Mountain Ski
For advanced skiers who want to explore off-piste terrain while also being introduced to freestyle and race training. This team will spend most of their time working on athletes on and off-piste skiing, and a small portion of their training skiing in the parks and in the gates.
Minimum requirement: link parallel turns on any terrain at Sierra-at-Tahoe (on- and off-piste).
Snowboard
For snowboarders ready to progress beyond the basics in boardercross, slopestyle, slalom, giant slalom, rail jam + halfpipe. Expert coaches model the curriculum after world-class Sierra athletes like Jamie Anderson, exposing riders to gates and all aspects of park competition.
Minimum requirement: linking turns on any terrain at Sierra-at-Tahoe (on- and off-piste).
