What’s New at Sierra-at-Tahoe for the 2024-25 Season
TWIN BRIDGES, Calif., Nov. 13, 2024 – Sierra-at-Tahoe announces new improvements for the 2024-25 season, including enhanced snowmaking, lift upgrades, and expanded access through Ikon Pass. The resort targets a November 29 opening, weather permitting.
“We’re gearing up for a great winter,” said John Rice, Sierra-at-Tahoe general manager, noting record attendance at their recent Keep Sierra Clean Day where 800 guests helped plant 1,000 seedling trees.
Mountain Improvements
Improvements include newly paved access road and parking lots, replacement of haul ropes on Nob Hill and Easy Rider Express chairlifts, and two new Techno Alpin snowmaking fan guns for enhanced snow coverage.
Food + Beverage
New partnership with Urban Roots Brewing & Smokehouse brings craft beer and signature dishes to 360 Smokehouse BBQ. Baja Grill offers modern tacos, while The Aspen features family pizza deals.
Mountain Features
New wooden figurines across the mountain highlight resort history, featuring the Pony Express, Snowshoe Thompson, local pine trees, Olympic athletes, and avalanche dogs, each with QR-accessible information.
Events + Partnerships
Sierra joins Ikon Pass for 2024/25, offering up to seven days of access. The resort will host the California Nevada Interscholastic Ski and Snowboard Federation Championships in March 2025, plus returning events including Subaru Winterfest and Vans Methodology.
