We are Cashless
Beginning Winter 2023-24, we’ve gone cashless! Stash your cash in the piggy bank and use your card, smartwatch or smartphone to tap, swipe or chip at all locations across the resort. Easy + less fuss = faster to the fun!
- Bring cash with you. Cash may still be used as a form of gratuity for your favorite instructor or service staff. (There are no ATM’s nosite).
- Season Passholders can load money onto their card to use throughout the resort and receive the bonus of an extra 10% to use as you choose. E.g. put $100 on your pass, for $110 in value to use on the things you buy most!
- Load up your Season Pass at any sales location including the Season Pass Office, Rentals, Sierra Mtn Sports, onsite eateries or by phone.
Parking
Parking is based on mountain capacity and is on a first come-first served basis. Possessing a purchased product from Sierra does not guarantee entrance or a parking spot. We suggest arriving early as parking fills up quickly on weekends, peak days, holidays + powder days. We plan to open the Sierra parking lots by 7 am every day during the winter season but this can vary based on weather.
Stay connected on + off the mountain
There’s a lot of information to wrangle when visiting a ski resort. We all want to know precisely how much snow fell overnight, how the mountain and road conditions are, what events are going on and other need-to-know information. Luckily, the Sierra-at-Tahoe Mobile App and text alerts are here to help!
Plus, our email subscription service is here to bring you the relevant news YOU want to read. We’ll keep you up on all things Sierra, give you the latest scoop on our parks and conditions, let you know about deals, or alert you when it dumps 6+ inches overnight!
With these platforms, you’ll get the latest 411 coming out of your favorite resort.

Skip the Ticket Line + Go Directly to the Lift
Your lift ticket or 3-PAK will be RFID enabled, meaning a chip inside of it will automatically open a gate to allow you to load the lift once you have your card. Follow these steps to ensure a smooth experience:
- After purchasing ticket(s) online, print your QR code from home or save the confirmation email on your phone.
- When you arrive, head to a pickup box located next to ticket windows in the base area for contactless service.
- Using your phone or printed email, scan the QR code.
- Your RFID card(s) will print. Place card in left-side pocket.
- Proceed to lift and enjoy your day!
If you’re new to RFID passes, you can learn more about some dos and don’ts on our RFID page here.
