Picnic and Bag Policy

  • No outside food or beverage is permitted inside any Sierra at Tahoe lodge facilities that provide restaurant services.  Guests looking to eat their bag lunch may use Solstice Eatery for 30 minutes.  Sierra at Tahoe has created several designated picnic areas for guests.
  • Designated Picnic Areas Include
    • Base Area – Mama’s Roof, Golden Bear Terrace, Solstice Plaza
    • On-Mountain – Grandview Lodge Roof and Deck, Baja Grill Snow Beach
  • Coolers and cooler bags are not allowed in lodge facilities that provide restaurant services.
  • No outside alcohol is allowed in the resort or designated picnic areas
  • Competition Teams Members may bring a bag lunch.  They may eat them in the Competition Services room or in designated picnic areas. 

Can I store my extra gear inside the lodge?

  • Personal gear may NOT be stored inside the lodges. 
  • A limited number of day storage lockers are available. Extra gear can be stored inside your vehicle. 
  • All unattended bags will be consolidated in a designated area and tagged with the policy for educational purposes.

Enjoy the Tailgating Tradition

  • Another popular option at Sierra at Tahoe is to use your vehicle as a base lodge.  Take advantage of Tahoe’s 275 annual average days of sunshine to enjoy the vibrant tailgating scene in the parking lots.
