Bogus Basin is Idaho’s second largest winter resort with 2,600 incredible acres just 16 miles from the state’s capital in Boise. China Peak Mountain Resort is located only 65 miles northeast of Fresno at scenic Huntington Lake in the Sierra National Forest. The mountain has 1,679 feet of vertical with a base elevation of 7,030 with the peak at just over 8,700 feet. The resort offers seven chairlifts, a T-Bar and three moving carpets for the beginner skiers and snowboarders. Established in 1938, Lost Trail is one of Montana’s original ski resorts spanning 1,800 acres along the Montana- Idaho border. Mt. Hood Ski bowl in Government Camp, Oregon dates back to 1928, making the resort one of the oldest remaining ski resorts in the country.
